Redwind Software / Magic Hat #9
If you answered yes to the above questions then we'd love to hear from you.
This is not the kind of internship where you will be making coffee, copying documents
and making runs to the shop. At Redwind we believe the best way to learn is by doing and we fully intend to throw the successful candidate in at the deep end and get s/he working on real world projects. You will gain experience in game creation, app creation, dealing with major brands and dealing with an actual work environment. You will be working alongside and learning from some of the finest app developers in the country and have an opportunity to bring your own style, flair and creative ideas to the table.
Some of the finest developers in the country
Some (non commercial) programming experience is essential. Objective-C is a distinct advantage, as is Java, .NET and Node.js. Being sound is essential. The most important thing at Redwind is the team and the environment, you must be a good team player, everything else is secondary. This position is based in our Dublin, Ireland office.
- iOS, Android, mobile development
- Web services & applications, Node.js, .NET
- Gaming, Unity3d, Cocos2d
* Note, we do not expect any one candidate to have all of these. It's possible the best candidate won't have any.
Last year's intern was a keen gamer
2011's intern went on to become The President
If you are interested in following in these illustrious footsteps here's what you need to do:
We want to see a simple game or app that you have developed
for iOS, Android or web.
Design isn't important here, we're more interested in seeing someone who has a flair for building and writing code. It can be as simple as an Xs and Os game or a note taking app but try include something a little different and interesting.
Submissions should be either a website/link, app binary/TestFlight link or video of app running as well as code samples. Also include your available dates and any information on your universities internship module.
